The Taxidermy Net / Breakthrough Magazine Reference Archives
Each year, hundreds of personal reference photos are submitted from the studios of wildlife artists throughout the world to the offices of Breakthrough, the magazine devoted to the serious wildlife artist. Larry and Kathy Blomquist carefully evaluate the photos for color, clarity, and general usefulness to the reference needs of taxidermists. Out of these hundreds of submissions, only a select few are chosen as the very best and published in the popular "Reference" section in each issue. All published photographers receive a highly coveted Breakthrough T-shirt for their submission.

If you wish to submit a reference photo to Breakthrough, send a clear color print or slide, identified by species, along with your name, address, and daytime telephone number to: Breakthrough Reference, P. O. Box 2945, Hammond, LA 70404-2945.

For digital photos, Breakthough will need a minimum resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels in order to publish your photos in the magazine. If you wish to e-mail photos this large, they should be attached one at a time to an e-mail and sent individually to kblomquist@i-55.com. Digital files may also be burned on a CDR and mailed in the the above address.
